DAK Congratulates legendary Physician Dr Sanaullah Qureshi for his graceful retirement | KNO

Srinagar, 31 July  (KNO) : Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Tuesday Congratulated Dr Sonaullah Qureshi for graceful retirement as A grade Consultant Physician from District hospital Handwara. The eminent Physician Dr Quershi known for his clinical skills has served his far flung hilly district Kupwara continuously for 35 years.

The veteran physician lived his life among common and poor people and was there only hope during turmoils and nineties. A medical luminary Dr Quershi established the Department of medicine at District Hospital and promoted evidence based medicine visa vis raised level of medical education during his tenure " Dr Suhail Naik president Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) said. Paying rich tributes to the legend, Dr Naik said the retirement of Dr Qureshi has created great void in the field of medicine. It has been a joy to work with someone so passionate, calm and professional all at the same time.

While I’ had the chance to work with him briefly at District Hospital Handwara and it was so wonderful to work with a senior doctor with so many brilliant and creative ideas Dr Naik further added. General secretary DAK , Dr Owais H Dar said that contribution of Dr Quereshi in the field of medical science will be remembered for a long time to come by people of Kupwara district. Dr Mir Mushtaq, senior executive member said, that Dr Quereshi was founder member of DAK and is inspiration for all doctors to stay and serve own people, which was his ultimate and cherished mission. Dr Mohd Ashraf, Vice president DAK said that Dr Qureshi is a man of integrity, his commitment to the welfare of doctors and poor people of rural Kashmir is commendable.

Dr Irshad Muntazir, cheif spokesperson DAK said that doctors Association Kashmir will very soon organise an event where all eminent and retired doctors will be felcitated and decorated.
